Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia
The Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia (IAMM), located in Kuala Lumpur, serves as an ambassador of Islamic Arts in Southeast Asia. Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the IAMM opened its doors in 1998, and is home to a vast collection of Islamic arts and artifacts, beautifully curated in its 12 permanent galleries.
The IAMM is a symbol of Albukhary Foundation’s commitment to preserving culture, history and heritage. In an increasingly intolerant and highly complex world, museums act as the “custodian, preserver and educator” of arts and culture. The IAMM, through its exhibitions in the museum as well as abroad, aims to promote learning and the diffusion of knowledge through the unique history encapsulated within the artifacts on display.
